Prior to working at Ayrshire Group, Thor was employed as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia, where he examined emerging public-private financial institutions designed to further climate change objectives through the deployment of renewable energy and low-carbon infrastructure.  In 2016, Thor completed an interdisciplinary PhD in economics and resources management, studying the adoption of low-carbon technology in buildings at the household, institutional, and city scales. Thor has a Masters degree in Eco-Innovation from the Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France; and holds a double major in Finance and Law in Society from the University of New Brunswick, Canada.
